Abu Ghosoun

The Abu Ghoson wreck is a great dive site for all experience levels, located roughly 68 kilometers south of Marsa Alam. Here's a quick description: Shipwreck: The SS Hamada, a 65-meter cargo ship that sunk in 1993. Depth: The wreck rests on its side at a depth of 15 to 25 meters, with parts of the shallow wreck even breaking the surface at low tide. This makes it accessible to both beginner and experienced divers. Marine Life: The wreck has become a haven for marine life including Napoleon wrasse, lionfish, parrotfish, surgeonfish, butterflyfish, and moray eels. Visibility: The Red Sea is known for its excellent underwater visibility, and Abu Ghoson is no exception. Expect crystal-clear water for fantastic views of the wreck and the surrounding reef.
